This has been an interesting week in world news. Hamas wins the Palestinian election while the Iranians are threatening nuclear attacks on Israel. Meanwhile some whispers are heard throughout the media regarding the WMD that Bush suppossedly lied about, and how those weapons were moved to Syria in the prelude to Iraqi Freedom.
Let's look at a slightly bigger picture, across a broader timeline...
Iraqs leader is overthrown in a swift and relatively easy stroke by US military forces.
Libya gives up it's nuclear ambitions
The Pope dies
Palestinians lose their beloved terrorist leader Arafat
Iran admits to seeking the bomb, and their intent to build it along with an eagerness to destroy Israel.
Israel's Sharon is incapacitated by a stroke
This looks like a recipe for all out war to me. Perhaps it is high time for the region to purge itself. There is great disparity over there, and it seems to be heavily tied to religion and oil. With religion we also see hypocracy. With oil we also see greed. It's a big mess, but we should be thankful that the Bush administration has already established the strongest military outpost the USA has ever had in the middle east. From a logistical standpoint we are ideally poised to immediately spank any little radical country that wants to try and be a bad-ass.
In case some of you didn't know it, this outpost and centralized military staging was the true strategic objective.
When the towers fell, I knew the world was heading for this. The severity of US losses on 9-11-01 meant that we needed to radically start changing the entire middle east. Bush's approach has been nearly flawless, and to his critics I say; "You haven't been looking at the big picture".
Bush critics have been looking at life with shortsightedness, and their vision usually sees no further than themselves. Instead of seeing problems with hateful OPEC nations, the liberals eye focuses on the price at their gas pump. Instead of seeing a determined effort to be vigilant against terror attacks, the liberals eye focuses on the US constitution, and whether Bush might have violated some part of it. The list of misbased reasoning goes on and on.
Meanwhile Bush is getting it done, and doing it well. You can all thank him when the middle east starts spontaneously combusting. Here's one possible scenario--
Israel gets one-too-many of it's buses blown up, looks at the Palestinian government (Hamas) and says "A nation state just attacked us--we shall officially declare war". Within a month, Israel takes full control of all Palestinian occupied land, and infringes slightly on Egypt in the process. Egypt gets ticked off, comes out of their closet of neutrality, and invokes Syria and Iran as allies against Israel. Israel then starts continuous air raids on Iranian nuclear facilities. Syria, Iran, and Eqypt then attempt to attack Israel, but the USA sees it coming and eliminates the attacking forces. The USA and Iraq (you betchya!) will then invade Syria and Iran while the British navy imposes a blockade against Egypt. The USA and Britain will be FORCED to completely taker over the flow of all crude oil in the region. My guess is that Qatar, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia will side with the US in order to keep their business.
Kim Jung Il will probably be jealous that he isn't the front page story--and try to pull something retarded like a nuclear test....it's nothing a couple of nuclear subs won't be able to handle.
This scenario is whacked! But it could happen.
